ESO ES EL AMOR
I couldn’t resist recording this fun tune written in 1956 by Pepe ‘El Zorro’ Iglesias. First released by Tete Montoliu y su conjunto tropical. There’s quite a few versions out there and I just had to add mine to the mix. I was inspired to sing this when I saw a 1959 video clip of Abbe Lane popping out of a huge bird cage carried by male dancers… and looking oh so glamorous. She performed this with her husband Xavier Cugat and his Orchestra. Where is that dress she wore? I love it.
